Activities

Since joining the fire team in 2005, my research work has focused on studying the responses of certain forest species to different levels of integration, in particular Pinus laricio, which can teach us about the life force of forest ecosystems so as to provide reliable tools in terms of environmental management.

The response these species has provided in the face of a disturbance of the environmental conditions has been observed in various situations such as risks to plant health, changes in terms of the occupation of land, climate change, and more specifically, prescribed burning.

Prescribed burning can be considered as an excellent forest management tool, however, the consequences thereof on the life force of the tree layer and biodiversity of the undergrowth has seen it remain a controversial topic.

In order to provide some clarity, we have followed numerous projects focusing on prescribed burning in natural conditions and nurseries, and the impact it has on the physiological, morphological and ecological levels, together with fire metrology tools used (more details ->here).

The author of 24 international publications, she has taken part in 34 international conferences.
