Research fields

  • Thermal degradation of solid materials
  • Thermal decomposition kinetics
  • Development of pyrolysis models
  • Combustion kinetics of gaseous species
  • Formation of gaseous pollutants

Activities

My research activities are focused on the implementation of experimental and numerical tools in the domain of kinetics in solid and gaseous phases. This research has led to

  • Determination of the thermokinetic parameters of ligno-cellulosic fuels (ACL 1) (ACL 3).
  • The development of global, comprehensive reaction mechanisms (ACL 10) showing the combustion of a gaseous mixture characteristic of plants (ACL 2).
  • The implementation of a hybrid kinetic method for characterisation of the thermal degradation of plant fuels (ACL 4).
  • The creation of kinetic modelling software: WinGpyro®® (ACL 11).
  • The kinetic study of peat under smouldering fire conditions (ACL 8) (ACL 9 )(ACL 12).
  • Performing controlled burns for characterisation of fire in the field (ACL 13).
  • The characterisation and spatial quantification of gas emissions in fire conditions.
  • The creation and implementation of dedicated tools for experimentation on a broad scale.

The author of 15 international publications, she has taken part in 16 international conferences.
